'Dead Island: Riptide' Trailer

The teaser trailer to "Dead Island: Riptide" was released this week and I thought that I'd share it with you. While it doesn't have the same emotional impact that the first "Dead Island" trailer had, with the family being attacked by zombies, it still packs quite a gut punch as far as a tragic love story goes. Check it out!

Give Kids a Free Copy of 'Plants vs. Zombies' this Halloween!

I have a confession to make. I love "Plants vs. Zombies." I really, really do. I love it so much so that I've beaten the game on my Nintendo 3DS three times now and am moving on to play it on my PC. As you can imagine, I was absolutely delighted when I learned that I can give away coupons for free copies of the game on Halloween to the trick-or-treaters.  Awesome!

The Coolest Haunted Houses of 2012

According to the Haunted House Association Detroit, Michigan has the most haunted houses in America. Lucky for me, I live there and have gotten to experience some of the scariest haunted house attractions in existence. But Michigan isn't the only place in the U.S. that has really great haunted houses; Pennsylvania, Ohio, Louisiana, Florida  and California have some too.

Here's my list of the coolest haunted houses of 2012.

The Top Six Best Found Footage Horror Films

Found footage films are the darling of the horror industry. The roots of the style can be traced all the way back to "Cannibal Holocaust"-- a mockumentary (i.e. fake documentary) that featured the real slaying of animals on screen.

In the 1990s the found footage film really started to make its mark with made for TV productions such as BBC's "Ghostwatch" and "Alien Abduction: The Incident in Lake County." Shortly thereafter, "The Blair Witch Project" appeared in theaters, and horror has never been the same since.

With so many found footage films being pumped out by studios nowadays (mainly because they are so cheap to make) we have many examples of movies that are really freaking scary, and ones that are so bad that they're boring to watch.

Here's a list of the best found footage horror films of all times.

'Dead Island: Riptide' to Have Same Characters as 'Dead Island'

The latest news about "Dead Island: Riptide" is that it will pick up just where the first game (and the novelization of said game) left off, with the gang riding in a helicopter on their escape from Banoi as a powerful monsoon started to pummel the region.
