Looks like they've completely abandoned the entire found footage genre for this franchise. And since that is the case, I'm not convinced that it's going to be an intensely scary movie like the first two of the series were. It appears that they've moved from claustrophobic chase scenes to scenes of utter carnage- and the boat motor in the teaser poster hints that it's another splatterpunk movie, like [REC]3 was.
But you don't have to take my word for it. Watch the trailer and see for yourself!

So here's something fun that happened yesterday; my buddy Damian Thomas nominated me for the Liebster Award. Which according to the unwritten Rules of the Internet, means that I automatically won it, and now I have to pass on the winning nomination to 11 other blogs and answer a set of 11 questions.

In honor of my new Google Plus Community, "John Carpenter's Horror Movies" I put together a list of the top 3 "Halloween" fan films that are on Youtube.
3. "Halloween Awakening"
Damn it Jimmy!
2. "Halloween: Resurgence"
Hey, no one celebrates Halloween in Haddonfield anymore, so let's go to the Sanitarium in Smith's Grove and have a crazy party! What could possibly go wrong?
1. "Halloween: Boogeyman"
This one gets the number 1 spot because the acting is the best, from both the adults, and the little kids that star in it.
I got, like, 20 pounds of candy!
Anna, you can't even lift 20 pounds!
