Top 6 Apocalyptic Movies to Watch at the End of the World

Our countdown to Armaggedon starts with "Planet Terror," a vicious, brutal gore fest full of big named actors and  so many memorable, albeit cheesy, one-liners that would make even the baddest B-movie maker proud.

'Marble Hornets' Writers to Join the New 'Slender' Video Game Development Team

The Slender Man video game, "Slender" is a freeware video game where you have to walk through a dark woods, armed with only a flashlight with limited battery power to help you find eight hidden pages while attempting to avoid being seen and caught by Slender Man.

The video game was so successful, that the man behind Parsec Productions, Mark Hadley , has decided to do a full remake of the game to make it a more fleshed out experience called "Slender: The Arrival." Back in September, Parsec Productions teamed up with Blue Isle Entertainment for the development of the game. Now, the "Slender" team has got Troy Wagner, Joseph DeLage and Tim Sutton, the geniuses behind the very scary Marble Hornets Youtube Slender Man series, to join them and help them create a more powerful, terrifying storyline for the game.

Beneath the Skin: How they Did the Transformation Scene in 'An American Werewolf in London'

"An American Werewolf in London" has one of the most realistic appearing werewolf transformation sequences that I have ever seen. The movie was made in a time when CG effects were very expensive, and practical effects were king. While some companies now solely rely on CG as a crutch for their movie monsters, I find that those that still do it old school tend to have monsters that are far more real looking and convincing than their digital counterparts.

GLaDOS is in 'Pacific Rim?'

In case you  missed it, the absolutely epic trailer for Guillermo Del Toro's "Pacific Rim"  hit the Web yesterday. While watching the trailer, when the computer voice over occurred, and it began to count down for the pilots, I thought I heard a familiar robotic voice. And I was right.

GLaDOS, from "Portal" and "Portal 2" is featured in "Pacific Rim." Or more specifically, the voice actress that plays GLaDOS and the unique way that her voice is electronically manipulated to sound like a robot, is used in the film, for great effect.

Top 3 Scariest Zombie Mods

Some video games have become so popular and well loved that fans have gone out of their way to create mods, or modified versions of the game. Ever since the zombie mod, "They Hunger" for Half-Life was available for download, fans have been working on creating better, scarier zombie mods of popular games.

The zombie mod trend has caught on, and even the game developers themselves have joined in the fray to create utterly creepy and terrifying journeys into the realms of the undead.

Here's my list of the top three scariest zombie mods for video games.

You Know it's Bad When People are Literally Killing Each Other over Arguments about 'The Walking Dead'

Last year, right around the time that I started my blog in October, I went to an ill-fated Halloween party at my BFF Razor's house. I was sitting on the couch, talking with friends that I hadn't seen in about six months or so. Things were going great until I brought up the ironic fact that "Zombieland" was originally a TV show that was made into a movie, and that it was once again (at the time) about to become a TV show. Talk about a crazy cycle.

There was a drunken, most likely high, idiot at the party that I've never met before. He barged into the discussion and loudly declared that it couldn't be done. You can't have a ZOMBIE TV show and have it be successful. Especially "Zombieland."

I immediately interjected and told him that yes, in fact you could. "The Walking Dead" is a perfect example of such a thing. Not to mention the fact that the narrative of said movie was set up in an episodic format. I mean come on,  it was even called, "Zombie kill of the week."

We went back and forth for a while, and he soon ran out of intelligent things to say to counter my argument with and began to personally insult me, at which point I stood up and got in his face. I honestly was about to punch him, I was that mad.

Wow! 250,000 Page Views!

Last week Cassie Carnage's House of Horror reached an all time 250,000 unique page views! That's a quarter million hits.

If it were money, I could buy a really nice car, or a pet puma. Or... maybe a puma in a car. Or a cat that thinks it's a puma in a Puma car.
