'In Fear Of' Director Mike Polizzi Talks About 'Selenophobia'

Very seldom do I come across a werewolf movie or TV show that is unique and entertaining. "Selenophobia: Fear of the Moon" is an episode of the "In Fear Of" Web series that tastefully portrays a woman's struggle to fight the best within, and the choice her lover has to make to end her life with silver bullets. I liked "Selenophobia" so much, that I decided to interview the director, Mike Polizzi. Check it out!

'In Fear Of' Youtube Web Series Director Scott Perry Talks About 'Achluophobia'

Scott Perry directed three episodes of the new horror Web series on Youtube called "In Fear Of." They are "Thanatophobia: Fear of Death," "Achluophobia: Fear of the Dark" and "Monophobia: Fear of Being Alone." All three are very well done and manage to create a suspenseful atmosphere full of dread and terror. "Monophobia" is about a serial killer who acts a little like Ted Bundy, killing people just to prevent them from leaving her. It is full of dark humor and has a twisted ending that I just loved. "Thanatophobia" has a twist ending that is not easy to predict, something that is extremely hard to pull off and shows just how talented Perry is. "Achluophobia" is by far the best in terms of creating a suspenseful atmosphere. It has a way of getting to you that very few short horror films do, and is definitely a must see for anyone who loves to be scared.

New Youtube series 'In Fear Of' Director Jeremiah Kipp Talks About 'Podophobia'

"In Fear Of" is a horror anthology Web series that goes live this week on Youtube on Halloween. I had the chance to catch a sneak peek at the series, and was really impressed with how truly terrifying this series is. In fact, I was so impressed that I decided to interview three of the directors from the series. My first interview was with Jeremiah Kipp, who I interviewed last year and reviewed his wonderful short horror films, "Contact" and "Crestfallen."

'The Walking Dead' Episode 302: 'Sick'

Previously on "The Walking Dead," Hershel had been bitten by a walker and Rick had brutally hacked off his leg with a hatchet. Hershel is bleeding out badly, and it may kill him, so time is of the essence to get the wound treated by Carol. Hershel taught Carol first aid, but she isn't a trained doctor, so her medical knowledge is limited.

Red Band Trailer for 'Evil Dead' Remake is Here and It's Not Safe for Work!

I have to admit, I was really skeptical when I heard that there was going to be a remake of the cult classic horror film "Evil Dead." But after watching the red band trailer for the movie, I have to say, I'm impressed. It looks like the movie took itself seriously, and is much darker in tone than the original. Check it out!

But be warned, the language and violence on this video isn't appropriate for children, or your boss, so don't watch this one at work, OK?

Preview of Episode 302 of 'The Walking Dead: Walk with Me'

Well, after a very hair-raising encounter with a small bunch of prisoners, it appears that this week's episode of "The Walking Dead" will focus more on Andrea and Michonne. Unfortunately, the sneak peak provided to us this week doesn't really tell us much, it just shows Andrea and Michonne walking towards a plume of black smoke. Talk about disappointing.

Check it out and watch it for yourself.

'American Horror Story: Asylum' Episode 1: 'Welcome to Briarcliff'

"American Horror Story: Asylum" can best be described as a horrible hodge-podge monstrosity of "Fire in the Sky" meets "The Island of Dr. Moreau" meets "Freaks" meets "The Magdelene Sisters" meets "Girl Interrupted" meets "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." Throw in any title of a bad B-horror slasher movie with a killer that has an unimaginative name from the 1980s to get a premier episode that is just jammed to the gills with clashing fictional archetypes that have no business being in the same room together, let alone in the same episode, and you'll have the first episode of "American Horror Story: Asylum."

Preview for 'American Horror Story: Asylum' Episode 2: Tricks and Treats

Check out the preview of "American Horror Story: Asylum" for a taste of the craziness to come. Since last week was so incredibly hard to follow and had more WTF moments than a donkey wearing a black leather vest at a gay parade, I just can't wait to see what ridiculous things they do this week.

Here's a fun fact:
In the video below, when Dr. Arden says "Our Sapphic reporter" here's referring to the term Sapphic love, which is a phrase used to describe the love felt between two lesbians. The term comes from the name of the Greek poet Sappho, who lived on the island of Lesbos. Yes, that island, where the term lesbian is derived.  Sappho wrote homoerotic poems about her love of women, which may or may not be autobiographical in nature. And now you know.

Guest Post by Tim Miller: The Legend of 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'

Being Halloween time of year, what better topic to discuss than the history of the “Texas Chainsaw Massacre?” It is by far, one of my favorite film franchises ever. Yes, it is gross, disturbing and even silly. But then again, so am I, so it’s a perfect fit.

'The Walking Dead' Season Three Episode 1: 'Seed'

With much of season two of "The Walking Dead" being wasted on filler episodes and the search for Sophia (who was hiding the barn the entire time, tee hee!) I was a bit hesitant to allow myself to get all geeked up for the premier episode of season three. Thankfully, the first episode of season three of "The Walking Dead: Seed" does not disappoint.

Help Support Popcorn Horror and Get Blood Stamped!

When I first heard about the Popcorn Horror app, I knew that it was going to be something special. The mobile phone app allows people to watch short horror movies on their cell phones, and donate a small amount of money to the filmmakers to help support their ongoing projects. The smart digital start-up business went online last year, and is constantly working to create a business model that supports independent horror filmmakers so that they can make more movies.

The First Five Minutes of the Premiere of 'American Horror Story:Asylum' Available Now!

Today, the first five minutes of the premiere episode of "American Horror Story: Asylum" appeared on Facebook. It features the "lovers," a young married couple who are taking a honeymoon tour of the 12 most haunted places in America. The latest stop on their honeymoon tour is Briarcliff Manor Sanitarium, where they are going to explore the haunted abandoned building for some very sexy thrills. Sounds like my kind of honeymoon.

'The Walking Dead' Season Three Starts Sunday October 14th!

The Halloween horror holiday extravaganza that is night time television in October begins this week with the return of the award winning television series, "The Walking Dead." While season two had a plot that was slower than molasses in winter time, season three has been promised to have fast paced action and events that quickly unfold.

American Horror Story Season 2 Starts Next Week

With Halloween quickly approaching, our television sets will soon be filled with all sorts of ghouls and goblins. There will be several new seasons of scary TV shows this year, and in addition to the third season of "The Walking Dead," one of the most anticipated shows to return is the second season of "American Horror Story."
