"The Walking Dead: The Game" by Telltale Games is a single player adventure horror video game that takes place during the initial zombie outbreak in Atlanta when Rick Grimes is still in a coma. Telltale Games are the guys that brought us "Tales of Monkey Island," "Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People" and "Law & Order: Legacies."
In "The Walking Dead: The Game" you play as Lee Everett, a convicted criminal, who escapes from a crashed cop car and finds himself all alone during the zombie apocalypse. As he fights to survive, he comes across an orphaned girl named Clementine that he takes in and decides to protect.
The choices you make during game-play will have repercussions on events that happen in other episodes of the game. There will be some challenges during game play but no frustrating classic adventure game puzzles for you to solve in order to move further on with the story line. In addition, there are no Quick Time Events to prevent you from taking direct control of your character as you move through the game.
It is also important to note that since the game takes place in The Walking Dead universe-- where people aren't muscle bound super men, but average, every day "common man" type characters-- you will not get a machine gun or a rocket launcher to mow down the encroaching zombie hoards. If you want that, go play "Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies."
"The Walking Dead: The Game" is going to be an episodic game; it will consist of five episodes that will be released once a month, each of which you will be able to purchase online on all major gaming platforms.
