Free Short Horror Film: ROSA

I came across this really neat sci-fi CG short film that is set in a post-apocalypse called ROSA. The visual style is stunning, the character animation is so well done that their movements have a genuine sense of weight to them. It looks so good, and has to much depth that you feel as though you could just reach out and touch them. Not that you'd want to, seeing as how they are fighting to the death... But, you know what I mean.

ROSA is about a cyborg named Rosa from the Kernel project who awakens in the aftermath of the global destruction. She must fight for her life when two other cyborgs start hunting her.

This short movie was made by Jesus Orellana in one year, with no budget whatsoever. Which, when compared to big name CG movies is just astonishing. If this guy can create such a vivid landscape and wonderfully animated characters, why can't other companies do the same?

ROSA has been screened at the Seattle International Film Festival, Screamfest, Toronto After Dark, Anima Mundi (Lost Angeles Shorts Film Festival) and the Sitges International Film Festival.
